Ranska-kerho
Koulussamme järjestetään joka toinen vuosi 8.- ja 9.-luokkalaisille A- ja B2-ranskan opiskelijoille Ranska-kerho. Kerhon toiminta perustuu vastavuoroisen vierailun suunnitteluun ja toteuttamiseen Collège Paul Bert -ystävyyskoulumme kanssa, joka sijaitsee Pariisin lähistöllä, Chatoun kaupungissa. Kerhon tavoitteena on tarjota oppilaille tilaisuus käyttää ranskan kieltä käytännössä ja tutustua omanikäisiin ranskalaisnuoriin sekä heidän kotimaahansa ja sen kulttuuriin.
Kerho kokoontuu koulupäivän jälkeen klo 15–16 syyslukukauden lopulta kevääseen keskimäärin kaksi kertaa kuussa (yhteensä noin 10 kertaa). Kerholaiset pitävät yhteyttä ranskalaisten Suomi-kerhoon ja tutustuvat toisiinsa sekä valmistelevat vierailuja. Jokainen oppilas saa oman ranskalaisen vaihtoparin, jonka kanssa viestitellään ja tutustutaan jo ennen vierailuja. Ranskalaiset vierailevat ensin Suomessa tammi-helmikuussa, ja suomalaiset matkustavat viikoksi Ranskaan loppukeväällä.
Kerhoon osallistujien tulee sitoutua koko ohjelman läpiviemiseen eli osallistua säännöllisesti tapaamisiin ja molempiin vierailuihin. Vierailujen aikana oppilaat ovat perhemajoituksessa, joten odotamme perheiltä vastavuoroisuutta ranskalaisnuoren majoittamisessa. Lisäksi matkustuskulut jäävät omakustanteeksi. Ne kattavat lentolipun ja matkakortin viikoksi Pariisissa sekä sisäänpääsymaksut vierailukohteisiin.
Kerhoon osallistujien määrä vaihtelee, ja joinain vuosina on osallistujia jouduttu karsimaan suuren suosion vuoksi. Kaikille ranskaa opiskeleville tiedotetaan syysloman aikoihin mahdollisuudesta osallistua, minkä jälkeen hakuprosessi alkaa.
Jos olet innostunut ranskan kielestä ja kulttuurista sekä kielistä ja kansainvälisyydestä ylipäätään, kannattaa hakea mukaan! Onnistuneessa vaihtokokemuksessa kielitaitoa tärkeämpää on asenne!

French Club
Every two years, a French Club is organized for 8th and 9th-grade students studying French at levels A and B2 in our school. The club’s activities are based on planning and implementing reciprocal visits with our partner school, Collège Paul Bert, located near Paris, in Chatou. The aim of the club is to provide students with an opportunity to use the French language in practical situations, get to know French young people of the same age, and explore their home country and its culture.
The club meets after school from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, approximately twice a month from the end of the autumn semester to spring (about 10 times in total). Club members stay in touch with the French “Finland Club” and get to know each other while preparing for the visits. Each student gets their own French exchange partner with whom they communicate and become acquainted even before the visits. The French students visit Finland first, in January-February, and the Finnish students travel to France for a week in late spring.
Participants in the club are required to commit to the entire program, attending meetings regularly and participating in both visits. During the visits, students stay with host families, so we expect reciprocity from families in hosting the French students. In addition, travel expenses are self-funded, covering the cost of the flight, a travel card for a week in Paris, and entrance fees to visit attractions.
The number of participants in the club varies, and in some years, participants have had to be selected due to its popularity. Information about the opportunity to participate is communicated to all students studying French around the time of the autumn break, after which the application process begins.
If you are enthusiastic about the French language and culture, as well as languages and international experiences in general, it’s worth applying! In a successful exchange experience, attitude is more important than language skills!

Club français
Tous les deux ans, un Club de français est organisé pour les élèves de 8e et 9e année étudiant le français aux niveaux A et B2 dans notre école. Les activités du club reposent sur la planification et la réalisation de visites réciproques avec notre école partenaire, le Collège Paul Bert, situé près de Paris, dans la ville de Chatou. L’objectif du club est d’offrir aux élèves l’occasion d’utiliser la langue française dans des situations pratiques, de faire connaissance avec des jeunes Français du même âge et d’explorer leur pays d’origine ainsi que sa culture.
Le club se réunit après l’école de 15h00 à 16h00, environ deux fois par mois de la fin du semestre d’automne au printemps (environ 10 fois au total). Les membres du club restent en contact avec le Club Franco-Finlandais et apprennent à se connaître tout en se préparant pour les visites. Chaque élève a son propre partenaire d’échange français avec qui il communique et fait connaissance même avant les visites. Les élèves français visitent d’abord la Finlande, en janvier-février, et les élèves finlandais voyagent en France pendant une semaine à la fin du printemps.
Les participants au club doivent s’engager dans l’ensemble du programme, assister régulièrement aux réunions et participer aux deux visites. Pendant les visites, les élèves séjournent chez des familles d’accueil, nous attendons donc une réciprocité de la part des familles en accueillant les élèves français. De plus, les frais de déplacement sont à la charge des participants, couvrant le coût du vol, une carte de transport pour une semaine à Paris et les frais d’entrée pour visiter les attractions.
Le nombre de participants au club varie, et certaines années, des participants ont dû être sélectionnés en raison de sa popularité. Les informations sur l’opportunité de participer sont communiquées à tous les élèves étudiant le français autour de la période des vacances d’automne, après quoi le processus de candidature commence.
Si vous êtes enthousiaste à propos de la langue et de la culture françaises, ainsi que des langues et des expériences internationales en général, il vaut la peine de postuler! Dans une expérience d’échange réussie, l’attitude est plus importante que les compétences linguistiques!
