The Mistral Boréal exchange was an unforgettable experience, full of discoveries and shared moments. From the moment I arrived in Finland, I was impressed by the beauty of the country and the kindness of its people. With my host family, I had the chance to taste several local specialties, including a delicious salmon soup, a typical Finnish dish.
We also visited Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, which can be reached by ferry from Helsinki. It was a beautiful city, with its medieval streets and small craft shops. Another day, we went to Turku, on the Southwest coast of Finland, where I discovered a very different atmosphere, quieter and more historical.
During the trip, we also went shopping at Stockmann, Helsinki’s famous department store, and I took part in a climbing session in the Redi shopping centre, a really fun and original activity.
I also made sandwiches with the typical Finnish bread, which has a slightly sweet taste, and it was the perfect occasion to share a friendly moment with my friends. Finally, I had a wonderful time at Munkkiniemi High School, where I discovered the Finnish school system and met very welcoming students.
This exchange will remain for me a culturally and personally enriching experience.
